FAQs

What is an e-bike?
An e-bike, or electric bicycle, is equipped with an electric motor that assists your pedaling. This motor makes it easier to ride longer distances and tackle challenging terrain by providing extra power to your pedaling efforts. E-bikes offer customizable riding experiences and combine traditional cycling with electric assistance for enhanced convenience.
Coebikes e-bikes use a combination of traditional pedaling and electric assistance. They feature a pedal-assist system that provides extra power as you pedal, an electric motor that boosts your effort, and a rechargeable battery mounted on the bike frame. The control panel allows you to adjust the level of assistance and monitor battery status.
Coebikes e-bikes can be ridden in three ways: as a standard bicycle with no motor assistance, with pedal-assist where the motor provides additional power while you pedal, or using the throttle mode for power without pedaling.
The maximum speed of Coebikes e-bikes varies depending on the model and local regulations. Typically, the speed ranges from 20 to 28 miles per hour, with specific models reaching higher speeds.

Our e-bikes fall into three classifications:

  • Class 1: Pedal-assist only with a maximum speed of 20 mph.
  • Class 2: Throttle-assist allowing power without pedaling, also with a maximum speed of 20 mph.
  • Class 3: Pedal-assist with a top speed of 28 mph.
Generally, e-bikes do not require a license or insurance like traditional bicycles. However, some areas may have specific regulations for higher-powered or faster models, so it’s important to check local laws.
Our e-bikes are suitable for riders weighing up to approximately 250 to 300 pounds, depending on the model.
The weight of Coebikes e-bikes ranges from 50 to 70 pounds, varying by model and features.
The top speed varies by model: Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes typically reach up to 20 mph, while Class 3 models can reach up to 28 mph.
Our e-bikes are suitable for riders between 5’0″ and 6’5″. Specific models may have different height recommendations.
E-bikes perform well within a range of temperatures. Extreme hot or cold conditions can affect performance, so it’s best to use and store your bike within recommended temperature ranges.

To store your battery for winter:

  • Charge Fully: Ensure the battery is fully charged before storage.
  • Cool, Dry Place: Store the battery in a cool, dry location, avoiding extreme temperatures.
  • Check Regularly: Monitor the battery’s charge every 1-2 months and recharge if needed.
  • Avoid Extremes: Keep the battery at room temperature to prevent damage.
  • Disconnect: If possible, remove the battery from the bike.
  • Store Upright: Position the battery upright to avoid leaks.
